The use of the Manage2sail platform implies the collection of some personal data about you, in order to process your registration to an event and for you to access to the services provided on the platform. Before you start creating your profile, please read following notes regarding your privacy data and how manage2sail.com approaches them.

What we need
Manage2sail.com collects personal data that may include name, address, contact and some other data of the individual that are connected to the sailing sport, such as IDs in the sailor databases (like WS ID, SwissAdmin Id, ...). Club might request sailors to provide also Id / Passport number if necessary for participating in the event.
Why we need it
We need to know your basic personal data and sport specific data in order to successfully process your registration to the events, to provide a service to sailing clubs that are organizing the events and also to other subjects related to the sport. Those subjects might be for example national and international class associations.
What we do with it
We store the data on the servers within the European Union. Only our stuff has access to those servers. Data of the sailors is provided to the sailing clubs that organize events to which the sailor has registered. Data is also provided to class associations that uses manage2sail in order to allow them to make annual rankings.
Subset of the data is provided to the public via the public Info system. The range of the personal data publicly available is limited on the data that are presented on the Entry Lists and Result Lists of the particular Events. Each Club organizing an Event decides about the content of the Result Lists and which data is mentioned in the Result Lists. If you want more details about the kind of data used for a specific event, we invite you to contact the Club organizing the event.
Access to other data than the one used for Results Lists is secured and strictly limited to authorized persons within the organisation of Manage2sail and/or the Clubs.
Manage2sail.com does not use your personal data for marketing purposes.
How long we keep it
Your personal data that you have provided us willingly during the registration to events / completing the profile is stored during the time you are using the services of manage2sail.
Other personal data (such as accesses to the system in logs, etc..) is stored in a way that respects local laws regarding data retention. After the law-mandated time passes we destroy such other personal data during the maintenance procedures.
What are your rights?
You have the right:
- to request from us access to and rectification or deletion of your personal data;
- to request us to restrict the processing of your personal data; and
- to request from us to provide you or any person or entity you appointed with a digital file of your personal data (data portability).
You may withdraw your consent that allows us to process your personal data for the indicated purposes at any time.
